Responsibilities:

  • Work with Production team to set goals
  • Schedules and plan the production processes to ensure the successful and timely delivery of final commercial creation.
  • Maintain budgets and schedules for the Production Department
  • Work with Ad Sales to budget, schedule and plan brand integrations
  • Work in tandem with other station departments, providing Production team supervision and oversight of responsibilities
  • Participate in production-related meetings and take accurate notes for follow up as appropriate
  • Secure production-related material and assist in the preparation of presentations as requested

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to track, understand, and dissect production budgets and calendars
  • Basic exposure to shooting techniques, shot composition, focus, flow and lighting
  • Self-starter with strong time management skills and detail-oriented
  • Must have sound judgment and well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Meets deadlines with the ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and manage changing priorities
  • Oversee special projects from "pre" to "post" production
  • Must be able to collaborate and work on a team
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and successfully manage multiple assignments concurrently for long and short term projects independently
  • Proven understanding of the television production process
  • Ability to accept constructive feedback with professionalism and make the proper adjustments accordingly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) and Skype
  • Ability to learn quickly, including the operation of new databases
  • Experience with ProCut, All Adobe Suite programs, 3D motion graphics, After Effects, Avid desired but not required

Job Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in video production, broadcast television, events or other similar field, including studio and remote productions, crewing, webcasting, and transmission. 
  • Management/Supervisory experience of 3+ years.
  • Work performance and cooperation that serves as a role model for all.  Ability to maintain a positive attitude, even during pressure situations.
  • Track record of being organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and working well in a team atmosphere, as well as having the capability to work well individually, is essential.
  • Strong work ethic, self-direction, self-motivation, patience, persistence and the ability to get along with coworkers and customers.
  • Ability to train others, and to learn from others.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously without jeopardizing deadlines or outcomes. 
  • Managing and mentoring and proactively looking for better ways to grow the department.
