CNBC seeks an experienced Senior Producer for "Power Lunch" (1-3pm ET). The Senior Producer will work with the Executive Producer to manage the daily content of the show, help with promotions, future planning, communication with the anchors, in addition to coordination with the news desk and functional departments across the network. The role also involves helping to manage the show's staff.
A Bachelor's degree and minimum of 7 years of experience producing in a live television environment, with at least half of that experience producing segments in a financial or business news setting. Must have significant line producing and live control room experience. Candidate must have significant experience managing a team. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with on-air talent to create on-air events on a regular basis are necessary. Must be willing to work on-site at CNBC headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.
In addition to the basic requirements, the ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of financial news, as well as an appreciation for broader culture -- geopolitical events, film and music, literature, and sports. Ideal candidates will also be creative thinkers with excellent writing and analytical skills. The ability to maintain high production standards by using innovative animations, graphics and segment ideas is critical, as is the ability to make creative use of video and sound.
