The International Fellowship of Christians & Jews, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting understanding and cooperation between Jews and Christians has an exciting opportunity available for a Social Media Manager.  If you're someone who is passionate about moving our mission forward and who has developed and implemented effective online community management strategies, this role could be next for you.

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, you will be responsible for developing/driving social media strategy, ensuring continued growth on all Fellowship social media platforms in collaboration with internal stakeholders. This role is also responsible for effective management of the social media team, their workflow as well as efficient management of campaigns, conversion and engagement strategies.

This position is key in ensuring a positive, engaging experience for The Fellowship’s social media users. It also plays a critical role in understanding The Fellowship’s social media audience, which allows the content planning team to replicate successes to grow our reach and impact.

Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading social media’s integrated marketing efforts, helping define overall paid and organic social strategy, and building collaborative relationships across departments to maximize impact of messaging and content, including consulting on international social media efforts.

  • Managing the social media team, including performance management, coaching and mentoring.

  • Managing the social media team’s workflow and team members’ tasks in support of The Fellowship’s digital media efforts and mission.

  • Developing data-driven processes to improve paid and organic content that supports social’s acquisition and conversion strategy.

  • Overseeing the social media team’s testing of new content, digital platforms, and fundraising strategies.

Potential candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience that includes social media marketing and digital content management. At least 2 of these years must be in a professional setting.

  • At least 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity, preferably within digital marketing or social media.

  • Previous experience developing or having significant input to organizational social media strategy.

  • Solid technical knowledge of and proficiency in using social media platforms and best practices.

  • Solid technical knowledge of and proficiency in developing Facebook advertising campaigns, managing advertising campaign budgets, and implementing best practices.

  • Experience or knowledge in directing and incorporating data into digital content strategy.

  • Basic understanding of SEO and SEM best practices.

  • Working knowledge of current events in the Middle East and other global locations that affect The Fellowship’s activities.

  • Knowledge of current social media tools and management software.

  • Proficiency with Facebook and Twitter insights, intermediate proficiency in tracking social media performance with Google Analytics.

  • Social media analytics and statistical performance analysis skills required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent ability to quickly identify important, actionable information. Advance writing skills required.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines – at times, under pressure.Ability to be flexible and act quickly in response to new situations and current events affecting The Fellowship’s activities.Ability to place strong attention on details and accuracy and to stay highly organized.

  • Ability to devise creative solutions in response to changing trends, current events, and The Fellowship’s activities as part of the communications team.
