Digital Communications Specialist
Mathematica is a nationally recognized research organization that conducts social policy studies on health care, disability, education, welfare, nutrition, and related topics. We are looking for a Digital Communications Specialist in our Princeton, NJ or Washington, DC office to assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of integrated campaigns on Mathematica’s internal and/or external websites, as well as other digital platforms, such as social media and our email contact platform.
•Develop and edit content, basic design and layout, HTML coding and web publishing, and quality control. Also involved in regular tracking and reporting of performance analytics and development of strategies for continuous improvement of digital communications initiatives
•Coordinate with Communications staff, to include content leads, editors, designers, social media manager, and production personnel, as well as other administrative and business unit staff to ensure timely, high-quality, and effective digital dissemination of corporate and project-related content
•Support implementation of processes for drafting, designing, testing, and evaluating digital communications efforts to ensure effectiveness and quality
•Participate in strategic communications planning and proactively suggest approaches to enhance engagement with key stakeholder audiences and ensure a consistent user experience
•Support regular updating of website content using Sitecore CMS
•Produce and disseminate bi-weekly newsletter and periodic stakeholder emails
•Ensure consistently branded look and feel, including inclusion of images and graphics meeting Mathematica style guidelines, in all digital communications
•Bachelor’s degree in digital media preferred; degree in English, journalism, communications, or related field acceptable
•Minimum three years of experience in digital or visual communications, web publishing, or comparable environment
•Experience working within enterprise document and content management systems (SiteCore, Adobe Experience Manager, etc.) and experience working with email marketing software (IBMWatson Campaign Automation.
•Knowledge of graphic and web design software, including InDesign and other products within the Adobe Create Suite, as well as current web publishing practices and technology
•Excellent analytical, project management, written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
