Ziff Davis is seeking a talented, flexible, and efficient studio photographer. The position entails photographing products in a way that is technically accurate and aesthetically engaging.  Be one of the first to see and interact with the latest technology products and capture what’s amazing about them. We are looking for someone that can utilize the newest trends to push digital photography to its limits, showcase the outstanding features of products, and visually create undying gadget lust for the users across our varying brands. As the Product Photographer you will be responsible for developing and understanding the company's creative vision for the products.

  • Shoot and process a high volume of tech and tech-lifestyle photography.
  • Organize and execute on-location and in-house photography shoots.  Work closely with various departments to ensure quick turnaround.
  • Ability to output photos for social media.
  • Maintain organized workflow and meet all deadlines in a fast paced, quick turnaround environment.
  • Manage equipment and other studio needs.
  • Continuously work to improve photo workflow and efficiency.  Generate ideas that keep our photography fresh, and cutting edge.
  • Participate in creative brainstorms / pre-production meetings with video/art department.
  • Build out a visual style and standard for
  • Execute assignments considering light, composition and post-production.
  • Work closely with the Product Directors and Designers to ensure that the look and feel of the brand is consistent across all channels and products.
  • Ability to capture captivating shots with props or with minimal prop styling.


  • 4+ years of photography and studio experience, ideally shooting product photography. Background in tech photography a plus.
  • Must know Lightroom.  Experience with Photoshop a plus.  Experience with management systems such as Quickbase and Asana a double plus.
  • A master of light and color.  You know when to add color and when to mute it out.  Balance is your best friend.
  • Creative self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Be deadline oriented and have great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must.
  • Understand the process of pulling photos from video.  Will work closely with video team on maximizing workflow and combining processes.
  • Ability to capture captivating shots with props or with minimal prop styling.
  • Willing to travel for location shoots outside of New York when needed.
  • Preference for photographer with video background, who is familiar with processing high resolution stills from video.
