Pace University has a dynamic opportunity at our New York City campus for a media relations/communications professional to help support and enhance media and communications strategies. We seek an innovative, visionary and enthusiastic self-starter for the following exciting position now available:

Director, Executive Communications

New York City Campus

The Director of Executive Communications serves as the chief strategist for Presidential communications. In consultation with the President, s/he develops Presidential communications strategies and the materials to support presidential appearances, remarks and writings.


  • Bachelor's degree in English, or related field.
  • Prior experience in writing speeches for senior officers in related field including higher education, government or corporate communications.
  • Superior writing skills for both oral and written presentations; ability to write quickly, persuasively and in President's style on wide variety of subjects related to the University and higher education.
  • Creativity, energy, and imagination valued.
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Team player. Must work closely with colleagues in the President's Office, in University Relations and throughout the University;
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently;
  • Must follow news and current events.
  • Strong computer skills.
