We are currently seeking a Marketing Associate who will be responsible for executing our digital marketing activities using a range of channels including web, email, print and social media. Specifically, the Marketing Associate’s duties will include developing and executing all of our drip and promo email campaigns, running three blogs as well as distributing an email newsletter.
The role will require someone who is has experience managing marketing initiatives and possesses top-notch communication skills, a lot of creativity and motivation to measure, test, and optimize our campaigns. You will have a chance to actively participate in various aspects of the business and gain vast experience in a friendly, highly-rewarding environment.
In the role you would be expected to:
Develop and execute effective marketing campaigns, overseeing design, development, targeting/setup and scheduling. Campaigns can include running email and social media promotions to working with college campuses to increase product awareness Write and set-up drip and promotion email campaigns, constantly a/b testing subject lines, timing and content. Excellent copywriting skills as well as knowledge of HTML & CSS are necessary. Experience with drip and newsletter email platforms is a must Act as editor for three blogs (Economist GMAT Tutor, Economist GRE Tutor, and the Executive Education Navigator), coordinating with a team of writers to ensure fresh content is added to site on a regular schedule Write and manage sending of a twice monthly newsletter Write and distribute marketing materials such as press releases Update content on our sites, partner sites, ad networks and affiliate networks Manage creation of print, digital and banner ads; analyze ad performance and optimize as needed
To succeed in the role you must have:
Superior writing skills Superior data analysis skills A strong understanding of the customer journey, acquisition process and digital marketing channels HTML and CSS skills Basic design skills; knowledge of Photoshop is a plus At least 3 years of marketing experience Knowledge of relevant tools/systems, including both drip and newsletter email platforms, Google Analytics and back-end website editing tools Bonus if you have experience with SEM Bonus if you have experience in the test prep industry
