Freelance Social Media Coordinator

XenoPsi is looking for a freelance Social Media Coordinator to support the Social Media Team in their day-to-day efforts across all areas of the department. In this role you’ll have the chance to work on Social Media projects for a variety of national spirit brands.

We are looking for someone with strong writing and organization skills that is passionate about Social Media. Candidates should be able to think creatively, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment. The job expectation is 20-30 hours per week with flexible work hours to be agreed upon in advance.

XenoPsi is based out of Manhattan, but is open to candidates outside of the NYC metro area if they are available to work remotely during East Coast business hours.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Content Development (75% of Time)

  • Develop content calendars for brands on Facebook and Instagram including: brainstorming, writing copy, and recommending image direction
  • Coordinate the production of social media images across teams
  • Brainstorm content ideas for Social Media programs
  • Research industry trends, case studies, and best practices

Social Media Analysis (25% of Time)

  • Compile key social and digital media metrics for quarterly reports
  • Assist the Senior Analyst with identifying insights on brand performance

Job requirements include

  • 6 months - 2 years relevant experience (including relevant internships)
  • Degree in a related field (e.g. Communications, Marketing etc.)
  • Well-versed in the major social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and Pinterest)
  • Strong writing skills, with an understanding of writing for Social
  • A passion for Internet culture and an understanding of trends
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Comfortable with video conferencing & messaging tools (e.g. Skype)
