WEB DESIGNER/DEVELOPER, Resource Development-Office of Communications, help colleagues in Resource Development achieve their fundraising goals by providing web design and front-end development expertise with a focus on the user experience for high-quality, compelling, and customized digital solutions. Working within a team of innovative designers, developers, and marketing/communications professionals, the Designer/Developer will assist in creating and producing a wide range of multimedia applications, such as websites, microsites, HTML emails, mobile sites, and presentations. The Designer/Developer will also apply user experience best practices and analytics data to help plan, research, and test projects. You will have the opportunity to work with exciting editorial content and modern design to help bring to life MIT's mission to make a better world. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree required. Four years of experience in web/email design, development, and production required. Experience with higher education or digital/creative agency a plus. Experience with: CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Git/SVN, Litmus, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite. Would welcome experience with Sass, InVision, Sketch, Final Cut, After Effects, or ExpressionEngine. Experience implementing content management systems, interactive charts and graphs, analytics, mobile and responsive web design, HTML emails, UI/UX design, site maps, wire frames, prototypes, browser compatibility, and accessibility standards. Should be flexible and open to exploring many different approaches to problem-solving. Bachelor's degree in in design, web design/development, or related field preferred.
