Job Summary: The Digital Content Coordinator helps maximize the effectiveness of JA’s digital communications efforts. He or she supports the Marketing & Communications department primarily through content and email production and the maintenance of several digital platforms. The role supports both Jewelers of America and National Jeweler, and it's a unique opportunity to gain experience with both B2B and B2C communications, marketing and digital media projects. The role works closely with the marketing and sales teams. The ideal candidate has a drive for creating engaging content with strong writing and editing skills, a keen eye for details and an understanding of web best practices. This role is not social media focused.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create, update and deliver web content using WYSIWYG editor, basic HTML and basic graphics manipulation, for multiple websites
  • Monitor websites to ensure web content reflects current campaigns
  • Assist with content production, writing and proofing as needed, including preparing monthly e-newsletter
  • Schedule, organize and execute email communications to both consumer and trade audiences
  • Maintain and manage email subscriptions, while helping implement strategies for growth
  • Assist with testing and rollout of new web applications and features
  • Track and report on digital analytics -- for all web and email entities -- and effectively convey these findings in department meetings
  • Coordinate digital ad production for Jewelers of America’s website ( and its publication National Jeweler (
  • Perform other duties as necessary



Experience Required

  • Bachelor degree, and 1-2 years experience
  • Strong writing and copyediting skills, and excellent grammar
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly motivated and organized with the ability communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and perform a variety of tasks throughout the day
  • Ability to think through processes, summarize results and suggest next steps
  • Understanding of web editing applications; basic to intermediate HTML
  • Google Analytics
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver or similar editing software
