We tell the story of the internet each day with uninhibited reporting on the people, apps, memes, and movements shaping the internet generation.

Our ideal candidate can elevate even the silliest of stories, reporting and editing with authority and great attention to detail.

  • Develop and edit larger, more immersive features.
  • Work with other members of the editorial team to achieve personal and section-level goals.

  • 3+ years of journalism experience.
  • Familiarity with the Daily Dot brand, web culture, memes, Twitter, and internet slang.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable in a small, intense, and high-growth startup/entrepreneurial environment.
  • Fluency in AP Style and in-house style guidelines, familiarity with best practices for SEO.
