Assistant to the CEO
Hello! I'm Rob Dubbin, I started Scripto back in 2010 while I was a writer at the Colbert Report. What began as a side project to improve our writing and production process has now grown into a company that serves over a dozen shows*, with more in development. This past year Scripto became my full-time job, with my duties as CEO encompassing product design, sales, marketing, research, testing, and support. Now I'm looking for an assistant who can support me in those areas, while learning about the inner workings of both our business and television generally. This position will be what you make of it, the kind of temporary apprenticeship that allows you to develop your own long-term role within Scripto.
We are a proudly remote company with employees in Seattle, Brooklyn, Louisville, Pasadena, an island off the coast of Maine, and the foothills of upstate New York. That said: We are limiting this search to the United States, with a preference for applicants based in Los Angeles, where we have big plans. The only hard requirement is experience in some kind of video production, whether of the "film/TV with a budget" or "scrappy web show" variety. The ideal candidate is curious, independent-minded, and passionate about collaboration in creative work environments. Even if you've never had a job in "tech" or software, we'd like to see some evidence of technical skill in your hobbies and art projects.
This is a full-time job with flexible hours and health benefits. We strongly value diversity and believe in hiring inclusively. Can't wait to hear from you!
