We are seeking an experienced and dynamic manager to lead marketing and sales production for Telemundo 20. A high-caliber creative who possesses the ability to think strategically and help build and grow a new Spanish language television station. Someone with strong project management, people management, multi-tasking and organizational skills. We need a strong writer and communicator in both English and Spanish who works well with people both internally and externally.

The Telemundo 20 Marketing and Sales Production Manager will report directly to the Director of Brand Marketing for NBC 7 and Telemundo 20. They will be responsible for helping drive the direction for the Telemundo 20 brand, including but not limited to: on-air spots, off-channel multiplatform creative, print collateral, social media assets, internal branding, client production and more.

The ideal candidate will have experience in television marketing and creative, having conceived of, designed and executed top quality content for media organizations. They will be a passionate, diplomatic and encouraging manager and colleague with a can-do attitude and a desire to manage workflow at maximum efficiency.

The Marketing and Sales Production Manager will oversee the Telemundo 20 Creative Producer, inspiring them to create the best work possible on deadline.


Job Duties
  • Ideate, write and conceptualize impactful creative for Telemundo 20 station branding and client commercial work. The end product needs to meet thresholds for quality, clarity, relevance and other brand health dimensions.

  • Manage project workflow; keep an orderly and attentive watch over the production and delivery of work. Implement systems and processes to ensure that all production is done in an exceptional and timely fashion, while staying on brand and on budget.

  • Optimize promotional inventory and direct promotional placement in traffic logs.

  • Work with various departments to further the station’s identity and mission through strategic projects and campaigns.

    Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years at a local television station in creative services.

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) both written and verbal with a cultural understanding of San Diego’s Hispanic community.
  • Must have excellent grammar in both languages.

  • Organized: Able to track all projects through every phase of the creative process; never loses sight of deadlines or budgets. Meticulous attention to detail and brand guidelines. Ensures all parties are on the same page and have the same understanding of the creative vision.
  • Team Player: Highly collaborative and inclusive; able to step in, roll up their sleeves and wear different hats when necessary. Dedicated to team success and achieving collective goals; a proactive problem-solver with a positive attitude.

  • Enthusiastic Manager: Inspires, coaches and motivates direct report to be excited about and engage with the brand and produce at the highest level. Able to express needs, objectives and timelines clearly and with ease.
