Role Summary:
The Assistant to the EVP Media will interact and coordinate across multiple departments (and levels) within Universal Pictures, as well as across a number of advertising agency and vendor partners, while also fulfilling all assistant duties. On a daily basis, the individual in this position will be someone that can take initiative with minimal direction, have the ability to seek out information from various sources and have exceptional foresight and follow through.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • You will provide administrative support for EVP Media and work in conjunction with other media department assistants. Duties include answering phones, coordinating travel and expenses, managing calendars and setting meetings, arranging meeting logistics, and maintaining files.
  • You will create Powerpoint and Keynote slides for external (filmmaker) and internal presentations.
  • As required, you will use MS/Excel, MS/Word as well as your organization skills to assist on media projects as needed. This will also provide additional experience in the overall media/marketing department that can be applied to future projects on an ongoing basis.

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 1 Year previous administrative experience. (Entertainment, Advertising or Marketing experience is a plus.)
  • Strong math, written and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint

  • Prior Entertainment, Advertising or Marketing experience .
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills
  • Self Motivator with proactive attitude and detail orientation
  • Adept at working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task
  • A pleasant, polite and helpful presence when dealing when dealing with outside vendors, as this is the “first point of contact” with the media department for most of them.
  • Capable of building and maintaining strong work relationships and of working effectively across multiple departments.
