TODAY Digital, the multi-platform arm of America’s favorite morning show, is looking for a Commerce Editor to manage our ecommerce content and partnerships. In this position you will coordinate with digital staff, TV producers and contributors to execute on our commerce strategy across TV, digital and social media platforms. The editor will be responsible for daily management and optimization of commerce stories, development of our commerce editorial calendar, merchant negotiation and ownership of key commerce partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a mix of editorial and analytical skills. They should be comfortable diving into metrics and using data to inform editorial decisions. This candidate will work across groups internally and externally to drive commerce conversions. He/she should have the ability to create shoppable editorial content focused on product categories across fashion, home, parents, beauty, health and food. He/she should be able to work independently, owning the editorial commerce strategy while also liaising with broadcast and digital teams.

Job Duties
  • Create e-commerce content that aligns with the TODAY editorial vision across TV and digital platforms.
  • Work with Business Development to optimize commerce strategy and merchandising to increase conversions.
  • Develop a commerce calendar that bridges TV and Digital content.
  • Participate in regular editorial meetings and collaborate with channel editors to develop commerce opportunities in each of our lifestyle categories that fit within the TODAY brand voice and vision.
  • Track metrics, SEO trends and keyword opportunities and iterate based on findings.
  • Create/maintain relationships with key commerce partners

  • Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years commerce experience, 3-5 years publishing experience.
  • Strong understanding of data and analytics
  • Merchandising and market work experience for a lifestyle brand
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams and platforms.
