The Senior Booking Producer for Morning Joe is responsible to help drive the editorial planning and shaping of the show by securing strong, newsmaker guests, and providing creative ideas in partnership with the Executive Producer.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Book wide variety of national and international newsmakers, experts, panelists, and guests from various fields including politics, foreign relations, business/economy
• Conduct pre-interviews, secure facilities for remote interviews and arrange transportation for guests
• Arrange interviews for broadcasts during live, breaking news coverage
• Enterprise, conceptualize and pitch story ideas
• Works with technical managers in arranging studio logistics for live and taped interviews



Basic Qualifications:
• Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
• Must have at least 8 years of experience in live television, preferably cable news, including researching information and tracking down guests
• Must have strong political knowledge
