  • Lead linear and non-linear owned media strategies and creation of best in class media plans using research, targeting and scheduling best practices, ensuring plans deliver upon objectives and generate high value (reach, frequency, GRP goals).
  • Conduct continuous examination of research information – source and destination, audience profile and local market analysis to help guide owned media strategies. Work with Research to evaluate success of show campaigns and use knowledge to further inform development of future campaigns.
  • Work with VP on long range multi-platform promotional planning.
  • Guide promo scheduling team in the development and execution of on-air promotional strategies along with proper and effective use of promo optimization tool.
  • Devise prominent secondary element plans that complement network priorities and initiatives.
  • Oversee and maintain an effective and efficient work order process, along with timely and error free completion of logs and fulfillment of all other platforms.
  • Work with Creative Strategy and Shared Services teams to ensure owned media plans/elements are deployed and delivery of all assets with proper messaging is executed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strong relationship with Programming and Content Operations to stay abreast of schedule, programming initiatives and format changes.
  • Maintain strong relationship with Digital team to fully comprehend and capitalize on promotional opportunities across all digital platforms.
  • Work closely with head of Paid Media Strategy in order to maximize and amplify media plans across owned and paid.
  • Strategize and coordinate in-program promotion with live and live to tape production teams.
  • Run monthly/weekly meetings with Telemundo, Universo and Sports creative and operation teams to discuss upcoming promotional needs and multi-platform strategic implementations.
  • Work with Traffic team to streamline the on-air scheduling process and ensure accuracy on logs.
  • Coordinate with Ad Sales and Traffic to maximize effective use of unsold ad inventory for promotional use.
  • Prepare and/or coordinate reports on a regular and as needed basis, including but not limited to pre and post media campaign analysis and valuations, play-counts and post-runs.
  • Collaborate across multiple departments, providing input from an owned media scheduling perspective including but not limited to:
  • Research: on ratings analysis and viewer feedback to adjust weekly promotion campaigns as needed.
  • Marketing: to ensure appropriate support for own and cross-channel campaigns
  • Digital: to help maximize combination of owned and earned media
  • Creative Services and Production: to ensure all requested assets are created to specification
  • Monitor and adjust workflows and processes for maximum accuracy and efficiency.
  • Investigate latest media trends and vehicles, communication of new products and services in media, and actively lobby and work to deploy across portfolio.
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Minimum 10 years of TV/Entertainment marketing and media planning experience
    • Knowledge of US Hispanic market – including local markets nuances
    • Understanding of Nielsen ratings, industry terminology and other research tools
    • Extensive experience with media planning software, TIVO preferred
    • Experience with traffic software, Sintec preferred
    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and assignments concurrently and keep pace in a quickly moving department
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills in order to plan and meet deadlines
    • Strong initiative, creativity, sense of drive and ambition
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills; analytical skills
    • Proven ability to manage, coach, and develop others
    • Strong interpersonal and management skills with the ability to influence decision makers, internal and external, in order to reach goals and objectives
    • Ability to lead collaborative meetings which result in clear documented outcomes, a concrete understanding of meeting attendee performance/reliability, and ongoing management & follow-up for action items
    • Willingness to travel and work overtime with short notice

    • Undergraduate degree/MBA in Marketing, Analytics (or related field) or relevant experience preferred
    • English, Spanish (Read/Write/Speak) preferred
