Develops and produces live guest segments
Responsible for working independently with guidance from the Line producer and/or Executive Producer
Finds and books compelling guests for the show, following booking protocols
Conducts pre-interviews of guests and based on their responses, script questions for use by anchors and reporters
Manages and arranges any necessary travel logistics for guests.
Writes compelling copy and teases
Secures elements such as sound bites and video to support segments
Creates stock charts and lower thirds, uses Chyron Luci, and coordinates graphic orders
Partners with other departments as needed (such as Graphics, Tech Ops, and Satellite Operations) to place and follow-up on requests
Develops and maintains good relationships with financial and business news sources
Generates quest ideas daily, tapping into a broad array of sources for ideas
Assists Line Producer(s) in the production of the show during and after tapings
Reports (research, write, produce, present) fair and accurate stories as assigned daily to air on Un Nuevo Dia
Gathers and verifies news and features information for presentation on air, online and for mobile
Actively participates in daily meetings with story pitches of interest to our viewers
Develops and maintains contacts with community, popular entertainers, musicians and key figures
Develops enterprise and exclusive content
Collaborates with producers, managers and photographers to conceptualize, write and produce stories
Incorporates social media
Stays informed regarding current events on a national, international and regional level
Completes and submits all release forms as and permits as needed
Works under the direct supervision of the Production Planning Supervisor and Executive Producer and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor(s)
Ensures that all work is done under the technical guidelines and operations procedures of Telemundo Studios’ infrastructure and adheres to EHS/OSHA regulations and procedures
Follows policies, applicable laws, and regulations to protect his/her own health and safety as well as that of other workers, the public, and the environment
Presents ideas that support EHS goals and policies to your business or EHS leader
Raises concerns about possible violations of EHS policies to your manager, business and EHS Leader
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in Television Production, including shooting and editing in a deadline driven environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish
Must be able to perform job at locations in and outside work environment with varying weather conditions
Exhibits working knowledge of health and safety requirements

Must be 18 years or older
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be “on call” 24 hours a day / 7 days a week
Must be fluent in English and Spanish (speak, read & write)
Must be willing to facilitate personnel requirements including late and/or last minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment.
Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
Must be available to work (whenever necessary for show production) early mornings, evenings, holidays, weekends, and natural disaster emergencies.
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

The Segment Producer will field produce and present packages for Un Nuevo Dia morning show. This can include producing packages and segments on news and entertainment, among other topics and coordinating graphics, library and video. In addition, the Segment Producer is responsible for researching segments, booking quests, and writing scripts. The Segment Producer will also work within a show unit to pitch ideas and produce portions of this morning show.
