Write copy and desktop edit video for stories as assigned by Producers
Gather and prepare content for all of Telemundo Washington, DC’s platforms, including but not limited to Out-of-Home, web and broadcast
Research and produce news segments and other editorial projects as assigned by Producers or the Assignment Desk
Develop and pitch story ideas
Minimum 1 year of news segment writing and/or producing
Minimum 2 years’ newsgathering or production experience
Bilingual (English/Spanish) both written and verbal
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications and/or equivalent work experience
Must be willing to work in Washington, D.C.
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be 18 years or older
Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required

NBCUniversal is launching a new Telemundo-owned station in Washington, D.C. This project will expand NBC Washington / WRC-TV’s news staff with a new team of Spanish-speaking and bilingual journalists to launch the new station. Both news teams will serve local Spanish- and English-speaking viewers in the greater Washington, D.C. region. The new Telemundo station team will work closely with WRC-TV’s team members in the existing facility that is home to NBC Washington.
