Role Summary:
The Multicultural Marketing team is part of the marketing department of Universal Pictures. The team is responsible for engaging across all disciplines of film marketing to identify, refine, develop and integrate strategies and tactics to enhance and enrich outreach to Hispanic and African-American audiences.

The Coordinator, Multicultural Marketing will be responsible for fulfilling assistant duties for the SVP, Multicultural Marketing and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Exceptional communication skills are crucial in order to interact across multiple disciplines within Universal Pictures’ marketing department (i.e. Digital, Media, Creative, Research) to help support efforts targeting the multicultural audience. The successful candidate will be curious, flexible and demonstrates initiative. Individuals must be able to efficiently handle a workload with changing deadlines and priorities.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Handle administrative tasks for the head of department, including but not limited to managing executive’s schedule, coordinate meetings and subsequent logistics with internal and external parties, conference calls, phone coverage, travel and interact with senior level executives and their assistants
  • Prepare and process executive’s expense reports and P-card management in accordance with established divisional travel policy guidelines
  • Process department’s invoices and POs via company’s finance systems and maintain a log to track payment status
  • Lead campaign topline reporting along with internal team
  • Handle day-to-day creative asset requests and distribution (internal/external parties) and manage asset uploads to shared drive, FTP/cloud service, and dedicated social pages
  • Maintain log of creative assets inventory, traffic deadlines, rotations, social calendar and coordinate with respective teams for synchronization of efforts
  • Liaise with hired agencies and vendors to facilitate updates and delivery of materials
  • Maintain multicultural research resources and, with direct guidance, evaluate and apply findings to creative and media plan development
  • Develop ongoing industry analysis of competitive campaigns
  • Coordinate with other members of the Multicultural Marketing team to bridge work-gaps in the department when necessary

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in the entertainment industry, specifically in marketing
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft-based software: Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint

  • 4 year college degree in marketing or related field is preferred but not required
  • Conversational Spanish is a bonus, but not required
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Experience in multicultural marketing
