Since its launch in 2006, SNY has established itself as the linear and digital home for all things New York sports. From our new state-of-the-art facilities at 4 World Trade Center we develop more original NY sports news and entertainment content than anyone else in the industry.

We are currently seeking a Director of Digital Sales to lead SNY’s new “digital first” content initiative. Candidate will responsible for developing and executing on sales strategy for our existing online advertising products including live in-market streaming, custom content, sponsored content, video, social media channels, sweepstakes, display, as well as identify emerging platforms and new content offerings.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Create, manage, and sell integrated sponsorship campaigns from start to finish including pricing, strategy, implementation and optimization

  • Proactively drive new business by prospecting and researching new accounts

  • Maintain and grow current revenues from existing clients by adding new platforms into current media mix

  • Work alongside network’s ad sales team and team partners (New York Mets, New York Excelsior) to create best in class sponsorships. Research and develop new digital opportunities and present to the sales teams on an ongoing basis. Mentor staff on industry standards and best practices.

  • Manage daily activities of digital campaign manager to ensure proper execution and reporting of sold sponsorships

  • Keep sales management apprised of progress toward established revenue goals and sales pipeline on weekly basis. Verify monthly revenue reporting with finance department.

  • Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently close sales and generate revenues
  • Strong track record of high level negotiation and successful internal and external relationship management
  • Ability to interact with a broad set of businesses and presenting both over the phone and in person

  • A minimum of 4 years of multimedia agency, planning, sales experience required
  • Experience positioning and selling sponsorships, TV, and digital media
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through
