Reporter, Delaware Courts

Law360 is seeking a reporter to cover courtroom developments in Delaware for our online daily business newswire. The court reporter will be responsible for keeping track of events in these courts, attending selected events, communicating with editors about which events to attend, filing at least 2 news stories per day on court events attended or new lawsuits and one feature analysis story per week based on a court development or another topic from your beat. The right candidate will be able to change course quickly as this is a busy, high-profile position where events can often pop up at the last minute.


- BA/BS degree

- Four-plus years of paid, full-time reporting experience or relevant graduate degree

- Two-plus year of paid, full-time experience at a daily publication

- Demonstrated reporting, writing and organizational skills

- Must be willing to attend court events

- Experience in court reporting

- Experience in meeting daily deadlines


- Experience in covering legal and regulatory affairs

- Experience in covering business news

Law360 offers extensive training on legal topics. Business or legal reporting experience is not required. However, professional reporting experience and strong writing and analytical skills are required to succeed in this job.
