The Research & Project Manager is responsible for managing timelines, budgets and deliverables for projects that span across our events, editorial, sales and production departments. He/She will be able to conduct independent research, analyze data, trends, strategies and competition to increase our overall competitiveness. The ideal candidate will be able to understand the core business functions of a media company and have the ability to prioritize and multitask.

Responsibilities Include:

Conducting independent research on every event and creating content and suggesting speakers

Manage portfolio of company-wide initiatives and special projects

Create and implement project plans and timelines

Manage the day-to-day project activities and progress

Conducts market research and curates databases for events and sales teams

Collaborate with Marketing to create event strategy, messaging, copyright and proofread marketing pieces, and audience development

Analyzes competition for sales opportunities

Establish tools and partnerships to enhance capabilities for the organization

Reporting on various tasks and special projects



·         4-7 years’ experience in the online and social media space

·         Outstanding organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills

·         Ability to work independently under tight deadlines

·         Experience in a team oriented environment

·         Excellent communicator, verbal and written

·         Detail oriented

·         Self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook

·         Solid understanding of B2B best practices

·         Entrepreneurial spirit

·         Interest in improving the process

·         Exceptional interpersonal skills

·         Understanding of NYC government a plus
