Role Purpose
The Sr. Manager, Digital Content, NBCU Cable Entertainment Networks is a key member of the team that is responsible for all aspects of digital content creation for USA Network and SYFY, including strategy, ideation, development, production and promotion of content to support all original series for USA and SYFY across all digital content types – video, interactive, VR/AR, games, voice platforms etc. This individual needs to have the creative chops to interface with showrunners and writers while also have organizational and management abilities to manage multiple projects at the same time, and work across multiple teams and a large organization to accomplish all of our goals.

Responsibilities
Content Development & Production
  • Responsible for the strategic planning, creative ideation and day-to-day execution for all digital content related to original series, acquired series and brand initiatives
  • Lead brainstorming sessions for site & web content development and provide innovative and monetizeable ideas/concepts to drive KPIs including site traffic, viewership and revenue goals
  • Collaborate with overall marketing team to ensure alignment with overall promotional strategy
  • Assess and understand linear content and cultivate relationships with show producers, writers and studio contacts to create original content
  • Manage and oversee day-to-day relationships with internal departments, producers, outside vendors, freelance writers and other content providers
  • Oversee project budgets and timelines, and together with Project Manager ensure all deliverables are received and distributed to appropriate teams
  • As needed, direct and produce interactive video shoots, behind the scenes interviews, and live-streamed events.

  • Ad Sales Integrations
  • Proactively create and pitch integrated digital campaigns for original shows, and ensure integrations are organic and satisfy sales/clients goals
  • Help Integrated Marketing create responses for RFPs for digital integrated content, and ensure alignment with creative and brand goals
  • Act as creative lead on assigned sponsored digital initiatives and work with Project Manager and Integrated Marketing to manage assets and feedback to and from clients

  • Other ResponsibilitiesOversee contracts and legal compliance for digital initiatives, including management of MSAs, SOWs, and other contracts with vendors and writers.Work with the larger digital team to help determine overall budget and allocations and oversee Manager maintain quarterly pacing, reporting, invoices, etc


    •Bachelor’s Degree
    •Minimum 5 years experience in digital media and/or TV, preferably with experience in creative development or production of content

    •Ability to generate and evaluate ideas for best-in-class digital content, and bring that content to life
    •Ability to manage multiple projects at once, each project with multiple internal and external stakeholders, and bring them in on budget and on time
    •Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure; quickly shift direction and scope of projects as needed to meet needs of the company; handle diverse projects
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills, interpersonal and management skills with ability to influence decision makers and strategic plans
    •Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and personalities, internal and external, in order to reach marketing goals and objectives
    •Ability to mentor junior level employees both direct report and other team members especially on creative direction of project
    •Excellent communication and presentation skills
    •Ability to self-start, take initiative and plan strategically
