Develop and generate new business for multiple platforms, while increasing revenue from existing clients.
NBC7 San Diego is looking for a Senior Sales Account Executive who will be primarily responsible for delivering sales revenue, as well as cultivating and developing new advertisers for the station’s multi-platform properties. The ability to work at the local level with clients of all levels of business is paramount, from large cap, medium and small businesses, in addition to exploring unique paths to procure business. The Senior Sales Account Executive will be expected to meet quarterly and annual targets by servicing, negotiating and growing revenue through a list of agency business. Identifying and prospecting new businesses at a high level of entry. This includes communication with the C-suite executive level and top leadership at both the corporation and advertising agency sectors. This position requires an individual with a keen ability to develop concepts to create, incrementally grow and maintain sales revenue by connecting a corporation’s marketing goals seamlessly with the entire portfolio of NBC Local Media content distribution platforms.
Seek out new clients by monitoring other media in the marketplace.
Acquire new business by making cold calls
Prepare and present comprehensive customized sales presentations, including non-traditional advertising campaigns, to clients.
Responsible for selling cross-platform marketing products,
Establish and maintain positive business relationships with local clients and agencies.
Entertain clients/prospects during none business hours including weeknights and weekends
Utilize current research programs and marketing materials to support sales proposals.
Regularly analyze and review sales development revenue progress with sales management,
Utilize sales and research systems to include: Nielsen/Rentrak, Wide Orbit, CMR, Polk Automotive research.
Actively participate and attend community and civic event
Minimum of 5 years of previous broadcast/radio/print advertising experience
Working knowledge of Nielsen audience data
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel, Powerpoint and Word applications.

3 years of previous broadcast/radio/print advertising experience, TV preferred.
Experienced Business Development background.
Internet & Digital Media sales and advertising experience preferred.
