Entertainment and celebrity news continues as one of the most dynamic categories of content online. American Media’s Celebrity & Entertainment Group is currently looking for a Digital Ad Sales Executive to work out of the New York office.  The ideal candidate will drive online sales for UsMagazine.com, Radar.com and OKmagazine.com, leaders in the Entertainment category with over 26 million monthly unique users across platforms according to comScore March 18.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Secure digital advertising from a diverse list of CPG,  Beauty, Fashion and misc. accounts, respond to digital RFP’s and prepare Power Point presentations and work with Account Managers to develop Excel media plans
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key online advertising and media buying agencies
  • Selling direct and programmatic (PMP) deals with the trading desks and digital planning teams
  • 10-12 outbound Sales calls a week in the New York Metro area building relationships and creating awareness
  • Engage in all stages of the sales cycle, from prospecting to developing customer rapport, onto closing business and servicing accounts


Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience selling online advertising and integrated programs; recent online sales experience required
  • Strong knowledge of the New York based digital advertising market and its potential
  • Historic experience selling programmatic private marketplace deals
  • Comfortable with selling promotions and integrated partnership programs beyond banner advertisements
  • Candidate must be detail oriented, both written and verbally articulate
  • A self-starter who possess high energy and solid presentation, creative and analytical skills
  • A positive team presence and team collaborator
  • A “get it done” mentality with the ability to multi task
  • Proficient at Power Point, Excel, and Sales Force
  • Clear communication skills internally as well as externally
