<u>Responsibilities:<u>
<li> Switching live and live to tape productions.
<li> Responsible for overall technical operation of studio and control room.

<li> Works with show Director to make sure crew is following daily assignments made thru ScheduALL software.
<li> Runs pre show fax of technical & production equipment.
<li> Switch all elements (cameras, Live shots, graphics, clips, server, routable sources, etc.) cleanly, for live on-air broadcasts upon instruction from show director.
<li> Set up and operate the switcher & DME, Abekas Mira, Clear-Com headset station and all other equipment including teleprompter, telestrator, and various IT based computers needed for production.
<li> Submit Post Show Reports and any equipment maintenance issues following all shows.
<li> Create & maintain effects for the Sony XVS and MVS 8000G switchers & DME, Abekas Mira.
<li> Manage the operational set up on the Evertz router including requests for Sources, Destinations, Salvos, and Panel Programming.
<li> Setup and maintain control room monitors via Evertz MVP software.
<li> Maintenance issues should be reported verbally reporting to daily EIC.
<li> Lend creative & technical input when necessary to enhance production.
<li> Function as crew leader by attending director meetings and communicating all necessary production/scheduling information with entire studio, DMC and PCR crew.
<li> Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience as Technical Director for live broadcasts at a network level.
  • Experience with the following protocols: PBUS, VDCP, GPI, Macros, timelines, effects, snapshots, and shot boxes.
  • Leadership skills, including strategic thinking, training and mentoring
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude & leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment
  • Willing to work flexible hours including holidays, nights, and weekends
  • Punctual, regular and consistent attendance

    Desired Qualifications:
  • 3+ years’ experience with Sony MVS series or Grass Valley switchers.
  • Familiarity with Evertz MVP and Routing Equipment, Abekas Servers, ScheduAll, Clearcom and EVS.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • College degree preferred
