Ancillary editing – assist the prod & CRTV teams with the generation of non-creative video assets, clips pulls, shot requests, and footage scrubsStorage Area Network (SAN) Maintenance & Organization of all final and clean promotional assets.Document Management across all team members.Deliver and track assets to internal and external departments (including digital, social, affiliate, VOD and EST).Maintain various departmental software/databases and manage user access for each.Frequent document creation, maintenance, and distribution.Produce and traffic compilation reels for company executives and various other reel/material requests.Coordinate all post-delivery retags with Englewood Cliffs.Assists vendors with delivery questions and process and manages all inbound reference clips, submasters, split files and completed reporting files such as scripts and music cue sheets.Distributes assets to vendors and partners.
Role PurposeThe Production Assistant role is an office based, administrative heavy position involving focus, a great attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. The ideal candidate will work well under pressure, apply critical thinking to their tasks, and will possess the ability to prioritize requests from multiple departments as needs arise. ResponsibilitiesAssist in the production of promotional content by supporting producers and PM’s via heavy email communication and Slack.Works with show production, show post-production, development team, shoots team and the Media Asset Management (MAM) team to procure, organize and maintain all assets related to production of the shows or projects the team is working on.Fields requests from multiple departments and individuals (Press, Digital, Social, Executive leadership, external producers/vendors)Maintain working relationships with assigned show post departmentsDevelop, update, & maintain marketing post memos for assigned showsLocate, organize, and traffic all assets to production facilities (both internally and externally) to assist all departments.Dailies/VFX Shots, Episodes, Sponsor logos and taglines to producers/vendors, Scripts, TranscriptionsDigital Delivery – to and from vendors / producers/ editors / colorist and engineers via Aspera faspex etc.Author, encode and deliver footage in various formats in support of press, off-air and strategic departmentsFacilitate requests with internal MAM teamsManage external hard drives and tape digitization for tangible source assetsEnter info and track materials in NBC’s Media Library Services
•Minimum 1 year experience in production or post production for television
•Willingness to work overtime as needed
•Must be willing to work in New York, NY
•Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
