Mansueto Ventures publishes two national, award-winning consumer business magazines, Fast Company and Inc. and their associated websites, Fastcompany.com and Inc.com. The company is located in hip offices in downtown Manhattan where the Office Assistant/Receptionist will be the first point of contact for visitors, clients and employees. The role is crucial.
Job Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: Provide support to Facilities Director and coordinate special projects as directed; Communicate with vendors as directed; Answer all incoming calls to the Mansueto Ventures main phone number; Provide customer service by either answering the caller's question or transferring the call to the correct extensions; Work with the building's security to verify access and greet/announce visitors to our floor; Manage key aspects of the new hire process; Update employee phone directory; Create new user accounts for UPS; Maintain new employee spreadsheet for record keeping; Work with mailroom supervisor to maintain office and kitchen supply inventory; Reconcile weekly invoices and submit to A/P; Provide general support and assistance for events, which can include accepting deliveries, organizing furniture and managing logistics; Maintain lunch coverage pool and train interns in reception coverage responsibilities.
Job Requirements: College degree preferred and we seek to promote from within; Superior communication skills; Demonstrated customer service orientation; Comfort working with numbers; Experience with Microsoft Office; Unflappable.
