The NBCUniversal Digital & Emerging Technology group (DET), a division of O&T, is responsible for developing the digital technology vision and strategy that enables our portfolio of networks and brands. The team is responsible for enhancing, expanding and optimizing digital service offerings to drive true and measurable value for brand/businesses leaders and the company overall.
The Director, Digital Strategy & Client Engagement for Digital & Emerging Technology will be a seasoned technology professional who will be an advocate for NBCUniversal brands’ digital entities. They will have the pulse of market trends and industry disruption, while also guiding the development of world-class digital capabilities that will enable our varied businesses and brands to achieve their business goals.
The role will interact with the brands/businesses on a regular basis to consult and identify their strategy, product vision, features, and roadmap and then function as the brand conduit to O&T as their long range plans are developed. The partnership with the brands will include driving business priorities, managing expectations and trade-offs as related to implementation, and functioning as the primary O&T point-of-contact for the brand.
As a senior member of the team, the role will include assisting in project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality, communication, and budgeting. They will also work closely with Product Management to set priorities for upcoming program increments and overall direction in long range planning. Overall, the role is a trusted technology partner and liaison to business and technology stakeholders. They are a key participant in defining, developing, and driving the digital and innovation agenda for the company.
•Experience working within the media and entertainment industry
•5+ years hands-on experience with emerging media technology products and project management
•5+ years’ experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, or analytical skills
•Experience developing business cases and quantifying ROI and benefits from technology products and services
•Experience with the Agile methodology and process
•Self-starter and collaborator with the ability to engage with stakeholders directly, set agenda and goals and drive the conversation to achieve goals
•Ability to work and communicate clearly and effectively with both business stakeholders and technology teams
•Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently
•Knowledge of market trends and leaders in the digital media space
•Experience in product development, including requirements analysis, specification development, user design, and implementation
•Experience in enabling customer workflows and operations
•Experience managing large, complex initiatives to on-time completion in large matrixed organizations
•In addition to deep project and program management expertise, he/she shows exceptional business aptitude, strategic thinking and creative abilities that reflect a strong understanding of the industry and how customers interact with and consume digital media products
