Digital Asset Coordinator, PBS Digital Studios

 

DEPARTMENT: PBS Digital Studios

STUTUS: Temporary (Up to 2-month assignment, 30 hours/week)

 

PBS Digital Studios focuses on developing original online content and content strategies that position PBS as a leading global source of entertaining and enlightening video content, in support of the PBS vision of being the most trusted, valued and supported media organization in America.

 

The Digital Asset Coordinator will assist the Associate Director of Production Operations in managing the PBS Digital Studios asset library, restructuring file delivery methods, ingesting digital assets, and editing/trimming video for platform optimization.

 

Essential duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Renaming and organizing files to match internal naming conventions
  • Redesigning and organizing file delivery workflows for PBSDS Producers
  • Uploading video files and content metadata to video Content Management Systems
  • Light video editing for various platforms (Facebook, YouTube, etc)

Requirements for success:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Word and Outlook
  • Experience with video editing (Adobe Premier)
  • Experience working with closed caption files (.srt, .dfxp, .scc)
  • Experience working with digital video platforms (YouTube, Facebook, etc)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multitask
  • Extremely organized with outstanding attention to detail
  • Understanding of PBS organization and platforms preferred
