Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Studio Programming and Production, setting up appointments, answering phone calls and performing other assigned tasks.Schedule interviews/meetings/guests for VP and Coordinating Producers.Screen incoming resumes for potential employment.Liaison with human resources for all newsroom interns.Maintain/update contracts for on-air contributors.Manage talent tracking/ payroll processing for all contributors/talent.Manage tracking of employees’ paid time off.Assist Vice President of Studio Programming and Production and on-air Talent with expense reports.Assists senior managers with day-to-day tasks in the newsroom.Disseminate daily newsroom communications regarding staffing of shows, including guests.Meet and greet guests; giving tours of the studio and newsroom.Register guests and relay security protocol/information.Manage and maintain the newsroom supplies.Track monthly expenses within department and keep organized documentation.Occasionally cover reception desk.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
One (1) year of administrative office experience, preferably in a media outlet.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs
Ability to work non-traditional hours weekends & holidays on occasion as needed.
Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure newsroom environment.
