The Tylt is looking for a versatile and savvy community manager to join our editorial team in NY. You will be responsible for helping drive audience growth across our social channels, building our relationship with our audience, and finding fun, engaging ways to have our talented editorial team interact organically with our audience. This role will report directly to the director of audience engagement.
What we're looking for
◾Someone with a genuine passion for social media and intellectual curiosity about how people engage on social.
◾Someone with an audience-first mindset who can respond to comments and inquiries in a timely manner, while capturing our brand voice.
◾Someone with an awareness of audience watering holes where discussion and debate occur (Facebook groups, Reddit, Twitter, Instagram fan accounts, etc.).
◾Someone who can organize, and participate in, events to build community and boost brand awareness.
◾Someone with the ability to work across verticals and collaborate with editors, product and marketing to serve the current audience and grow potential audience.
◾Someone who is a good multi-tasker, who can jump from one social media platform to the next, and who can connect the dots across disciplines to drive audience growth.
◾Someone with experience with Google Analytics, Facebook Insights and Twitter Analytics (preferred, not required) and the ability to glean key actionable insights from data.
◾Someone with excellent communication, cross-group collaboration, and planning skills.
◾Someone who feels comfortable juggling live-streaming video logistics and handling low-lift media on social.
◾Someone with the creativity and strategic thinking to tell us how to make our relationship with our audience tighter and foster real engagement on the topics that matter the most.
What you should have
◾ 2+ years of experience in digital media or marketing.
◾ Experience launching major community initiatives and/or projects for a publisher or brand.
◾ Experience or an existing record of growing audience and engagement across social channels.
◾ Background in digital journalism is a plus.
◾ Bachelor's degree, preferred.
◾ Insatiable curiosity.
◾ A good sense of humor.
