Our team is in search of Account Executive/Junior Publicist. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and natural charisma, the eagerness to learn and be a part of a hard-working, passionate team that is hands on in every aspect of the business. We want someone with the appetite to grow within and become a core member of the team.  This person should have at least 2 years of experience and a solid knowledge of media in the spirit, food, and lifestyle industries. The Account Executive will play a role in communication strategy and plans, creative writing (press releases, pitches, media news alerts, plan content), building and managing lists of media, bloggers and influencers, managing editorial calendars, creative brainstorming sessions, and more.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Media outreach on behalf of brands
  • Manage and foster client relationships
  • Day-to-day client management
  • Assistance with Event Planning and execution
  • Seek out creative ideas and opportunities to identify and cultivate story ideas for media pitching
  • Follow industry and client category trends and regularly share insights, thoughts and key findings particularly as it relates to competitors
  • Create key assets for accounts including press releases, fact sheets, biographies, messaging, media alerts, agendas and recaps
  • Manage project calendars and timelines
  • Handling Media Sample Requests and Packaging
  • Manage internal processes to meet deadlines
  • Follow through on projects from briefing to completion
  • Working with third party vendors
  • Budget Management
  • Social Media Assistance

Desired Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience managing high-level accounts in the spirits, food and lifestyle industries; a solid network of media and industry-related contacts; the ability to think creatively and strategically about media initiatives, and genuine enthusiasm for the hospitality industry.

Candidate must also possess the following skills/qualities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or above) in related fields, i.e: communications, public relations, marketing, business, etc.
  • Detailed oriented and organized
  • Strong and creative writer
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and professional attitude
  • Energetic and enthusiastic
  • A passion for the hospitality industry
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments
  • Able to multi task and can handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Able to work within a team environment as well as independently
  • Proficient in Power Point/Keynote
  • Must have knowledge of Cision
