Business Intelligence Analyst

The digital media industry is constantly in motion. To stay ahead, Digiday Media needs a data analyst to wrangle, parse, and interpret the many digital signals it receives from its audience and its clients to make crucial decisions.

The successful candidate has the ability to see the signal through the noise to make data tell a story, is a strong writer (for briefs and reports) in addition to a savvy statistician, and will be comfortable and confident building Digiday Media’s data strategy from the ground up.  

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Analyzing content and display campaign performance
  • Sales and operations reporting and analysis
  • Social listening to support creative content campaign planning
  • Occasional support of client research projects
  • Continuously add insights to our intelligence tool, Digiday IP
  • Building briefs for new business prospects

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience organizing data into meaningful systems
  • A strong attention to detail and committed work ethic
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or social science field
  • Fluency in statistics and statistical software
  • Proficiency in web crawling and familiarity with social APIs (primarily Twitter)
  • Familiarity with CRM or customer information systems preferred
  • Familiarity with the media and marketing industry preferred
