Job Description:

The Department Chairperson provides academic leadership, supervision and strategic development for a comprehensive new media, digital, and marketing communications department that competes on a national level with a cutting edge curriculum that is responsive to current and future industry needs. This will be accomplished in unison with industry professional support and external business partnerships that satisfy the criteria required of today’s leaders in the marketing industry. The position serves as an integral member of the College and Campus administrative team and facilitates learning, quality teaching, internships, scholarships and services. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

•Provides academic leadership for the new media, digital, and marketing communications department to include 1) the identification of emerging industry needs 2) the development and deployment of industry-appropriate curriculum and 3) the market and industry relevancy of the program offerings and faculty
•Implements student-centered instructional programs in the classrooms and labs 
•Supervises the development/review of curricula consistent with current research and digital age platforms  
•Develops, implements and sustains relevant lab facilities to ensure hands-on training availability for students and oversees the effectiveness of the labs in serving students and faculty members

Minimum Requirements: 

•Master’s degree in Business Administration and a minimum of five (5) years of extensive experience in managing and directing corporate marketing programs 
•All degrees must be from an accredited institution
•Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
•Knowledge and understanding of a wide range of instructional systems development, training methods, techniques and formats
