The Real Deal, the largest news outlet for the real estate industry in the country, is looking for a Freelance Contributing Reporter to join our team. With over 2.5 million web visits a month, and a readership of more than 150,000 for our print publications, TheRealDeal.com is the go-to news source for the city’s top real estate, finance, architecture and investment professionals. Our award-winning coverage includes breaking news, investigative stories, market reports and long-form narrative profiles and trend pieces.
The position requires working about 80 hours per month, primarily in the first two weeks of the month. The freelancer will be responsible for reporting on breaking news for our website, as well as aggregating content from other news sites. The role will also require tagging posts, optimizing SEO, and general website maintenance duties. The work will primarily consist of coverage of the Los Angeles market to start, with some work for our Miami, New York and Chicago markets.
