OVERALL SUMMARY:

The Marketing Associate position is part of HBO’s Domestic Network Distribution and Marketing Team. The HBO DND team works acrossMultichannel Video Programming Distributors (MVPDs) to drive HBO and Cinemax subscriptions and revenue,deliver and optimize HBO and Cinemax content and products across the MVPD distribution landscape.
 
The primary role of the Marketing Associate position is to work in collaboration with Affiliate Marketing Leadership, along with the National Account and College Distribution teams to execute marketing initiatives that drive HBO/MAX subscribers, revenue and product engagement. Thesuccessful candidate will be an imaginative and decisive problem-solver, resilient in an environment of fast-paced change, and highly collaborative. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Establish strong partnership with Account teams and internal departments to deliver against defined goals/objectives

  • Optimize and ensure the positioning of the HBO brand, programming and products across account initiatives by leveraging key research insights and marketing analysis

  • Creative management and execution of all marketing inititives including media, print, digital, social etc.

  • HBO College: Develop and assist with all HBO College campaigns and initiatives that drive HBO GO/MAX GO platform registration and usage, including:

  • Agency management, specifically as it relates to the HBO brand ambassador program

  • Manage all activations across campus events and develop experiences that organically promote HBO GO registrations and usage

  • Analysis of week-to-week performance for all HBO GO authenticated universities

  • Liaise with key internal teams including Campaign Marketing, Consumer Marketing, DSM, and Legal
  • Encourage innovation and challenge business as usual

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required  

  • High EQ/Exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Extremely effective communicator, presenter, influencer

  • Strategic and tactical experience in subscriber acquisition, brand development, and marketing communications; preferably with an MVPD, high-tech or web-centric businesses
