Reuters provides trusted business, financial, national, and international news to professionals via Thomson Reuters desktops, the world's media organizations, and directly to consumers at Reuters.com.Thomson Reuters is seeking an Account Manager to drive digital advertising sales within East Coast agencies for the Reuters media portfolio based in New York. Through agency relationships, the Account Manager will be responsible for generating sales revenues across our media properties including Reuters TV, Reuters.com and their respective mobile extensions. Key to this role will be developing new business within untapped brands, growing and maintaining existing relationships, educating the market on new launches and initiatives and ensuring consistent communication with sales counterparts both in the US and internationally. This role will report to the National Sales Director, working to continue developing strong sales acumen with the goal of progressing into an Account Executive role.Responsibilities:Weekly agency meetings with assigned agency accounts, from strategic/planning teams to buyers.
In conjunction with sales management, develop a list of target accounts and identify the associated stakeholders on the agency teams, specifically that are currently strong Video, TV and online advertisers.
Working with Sales Development, create integrated proposals that align with client/agency requirements.
Act as the lead on any requests for proposals (RFP’s) and ensure a response within required timelines
Ensure consistent input into Salesforce, outlining meetings and business under discussion
In conjunction with Sales Management, develop quarterly sales plan on target accounts, associated stakeholders and revenue expectations
Work with the Ad operations team to ensure all campaigns are delivered in a timely manner and optimized to ensure client/agency satisfaction
Ensure regular visibility through industry events as well as client and agency entertainment
Complete Sales Planning duties for your assigned accounts, i.e. pipeline management, delivery and billing reconciliation, etc.
Skills//Experience:2-4 years experience as an Account Manager or Sales Planner within a strong digital and video media company
Proven track record of developing strong integrated media plans as well as sponsorship opportunities
Strong understanding of the programmatic marketplace
Experience selling against news is preferred
Customer-focused, with excellent written, verbal communication, networking, listening and negotiation skills
Extremely detail oriented, well organized and self motivated
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a high-paced environment and under tight deadlines
