The Director, Corporate Communications is a key strategist and storyteller on the Communications team that supports multiple NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment business units: the Entertainment Networks group (USA Network and SYFY) and scripted and unscripted studios (Universal Cable Productions (UCP) and Wilshire Studios). The Director will plan and execute communications and media relations strategy against our digital businesses (notably SYFY WIRE), manage key network/studio corporate communications initiatives, promote the network’s award-winning marketing and digital campaigns, handle internal communications and work on other projects as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive communications strategy for SYFY WIRE, the top genre news destination currently experiencing tremendous growth. The director will work with executives and key editorial staff to identify both short- and long-term opportunities for press and industry awareness, including announcements, features, trend stories, personality profiles, breaking news/exclusives, events and more
  • Identify and promote innovative marketing and digital campaigns and projects including stunts, activations, experiential, brand campaigns and more
  • Work with colleagues to identify trade and business press opportunities for networks and studios. This includes long-range planning and editorial calendar management
  • Write and maintain key corporate information, facts and bios, as well as clear and concise talking points
  • Develop and maintain key contacts with trade and business press
  • Lead daily internal communications efforts for networks and studios
  • Support program publicity, talent relations and event management as needed



  • • 7+ years experience in communications or journalism
    • Experience in digital journalism or news PR strongly preferred
