Public Engagement Specialist

Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) seeks a creative, strategic and innovative communications specialist to share ARC’s message and build digital communities by researching, developing and disseminating engaging and informative content through social media and other platforms (e-newsletter, technical assistance, events, etc,). This role will explore and apply best practices in digital outreach/engagement while working collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders, partners and others to gather relevant and creative content in support of ARC’s programs.
Position requires demonstrated success in audience expansion and in leveraging, managing, and delivering relevant content and campaigns on a variety of social platforms including FaceBook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Incumbent must have relevant experience designing and executing effective public outreach digital campaigns, materials and content including digital based community building and outreach.
