The AS role within this practice is not only an integral part of the creative planning process, client relations and media outreach teams, but is also given the ability to manage a team, travel, work with some of the biggest names in the industries we serve, and lead programs with autonomy.  Account Supervisors within the FWS practice at EVINS are surrounded by passionate professionals that love exploring trends and culture related to our clients, and bringing that personal interest into the work as well. As teammates, the FWS team uses best practices, collaborate at every level, and encourage everyone to bring their own creativity and personal interests into the work.  The Account Supervisor position within the Food, Wine & Spirits practice at EVINS is perfect for public relations professionals with experience pitching stories to media (especially wine media), who can bring an enthusiastic, media-savvy, creative, tenacious, organized, fearless and cocktail-loving personality into a high-powered team.


AS responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Day-to-day client lead – serving as the key point of contact for the clients on an everyday basis
  • Management of client budgets and program timelines
  • Assist in the creative development of strategic PR initiatives / plans
  • Proactively pitch media with tailored story angles to target specific outlets / journalists
  • Develop, maintain and grow solid media relationships – a focus on wine media is crucial
  • Secure quality media placements (online, print, broadcast, etc.)
  • Plan, manage and execute client events and programs
  • Conduct weekly regroups with account teams to get status updates and provide feedback/direction on how to achieve the best results
  • Review client deliverables including press kit documents, monthly/quarterly reports and annual recaps
  • Work directly with senior management on new business opportunities
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients as needed
  • Coordinate desk sides for client market visits
  • Conduct press trips and market tours with key client spokespeople
  • Identify and forge relationships with select strategic partners
  • Run client meetings and provide both the EVINS team and the client with actionable timelines to work against
  • Manage junior staff and participate in intern recruitment program


  • Wine media and influencer relations is required
  • Passion for food, wine & spirits is a MUST!
  • Minimum 6 years of public relations experience in-house or agency-side, [PLEASE DO NOT APPLY WITHOUT PR EXPERIENCE]
  • Solid track record of client management
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple clients at once
  • Strong media and influencer relationships (again, wine is critical, however lifestyle is also important)
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Outgoing personality, networking ability and desire to work as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively in all written and verbal reports
  • Social media savvy
