OVERALL SUMMARY:

Looking for a dynamic, self-motivated marketing professional to join our team of culture experts.  The Multicultural Marketing team at HBO is responsible for placing our programming and brand in a cultural context.  Our culture-first approach requires an individual with an appetite for discovering and engaging with emerging cultures, subcultures, and cultural influencers.  We’re looking for someone who is naturally inquisitive and has a keen interest in what shapes and defines culture across a spectrum of communities.
 
50% Campaign Management
Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of consumer advertising and promotional efforts targeting HBO’s multicultural audiences (Black, Latinx, Asian American Pacific Islander, and LGBTQ)
 
50% Partnership Marketing 
Manager will assist in the development and execution of partnership marketing programs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage development, planning and implementation of consumer campaigns and promotions, ensuring seamless roll out and execution.

  • Provide direction to external vendors and agencies, manage feedback and maintain project timelines and budgets.

  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders/teams (Program Advertising, Digital & Social Media, Creative Services, Research, Corporate Social Responsibility, Media Relations) to maximize campaign opportunities and support around key efforts and ensure strategic alignment.

  • Manage planning and execution of high-impact marketing activations and events.

  • Create and update presentation decks for campaign planning and reporting.

  • Monitor budget to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines and identify potential cost savings.  

  • Help identify partnership opportunities across a variety of verticals (publishing, influencer, community events, etc) and act as a key liaison between the department and those organizations.

  • Identifying Multicultural Marketing opportunities with external partners, festivals, influencers, and content creators.

  • Develop culture-first strategies that contextualize our content for multicultural audiences.

  • Manage coordinators on a project-by-project basis

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+ years of experience working at a media company or advertising/promotions agency (entertainment industry experience preferred; multicultural marketing experience a plus)

  • Strong MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Excellent writing and oral communications skills

  • Ability to think creatively and strategically

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be a strong team player and enjoy working collaboratively

  • Well-versed in social media and digitally savvy
