Associate Director, Digital

American Media Inc. seeks a Associate Director, DIGITAL.
· Content Performance Analytics
o Work with editorial to optimize story development based on analytics. This will include examining real-time and historical data patterns on our sites, on distributed platforms and the overall news and trends. This will cover information such as:
§ Trending news
§ Top performing topics – seasonal, historical, topical, evergreen.
§ Successful content promotion (heds, photos, page placement, time of day, audience targeting etc.) both on site and distributed platforms (Social, Search, Referral partners CPC platforms).
· Content Marketing
o Manage all SEM, PPC and Paid Social campaigns
o Work with SEO firm to monitor Search traffic, perform keyword research and write metadata copy for new products.
o Manage, expand and develop new relationships with portals and aggregators including story syndication fulfillments
· Social Media Campaign Management
o Manage all paid social promotion of all content including sponsored, editorial, and native advertising
o Manage social campaigns on behalf of select advertisers.
o Lead initiatives to grow social following on all platforms.
· Business Development
o Participates in business development activities to ensure that revenue targets are achieved and engages in value-driving strategic partnerships.
o Oversees production, prioritization, and scheduling of digital product launches, enhancements, and improvements.
Traffic Reporting and analysis
o Constant monitoring of traffic patterns and current traffic levels
o Analyze and improve site metrics and KPI's.
o Development of custom reports to help maximize traffic-driving initiatives
o Drives audience to high yield pages
o Assists in finding new revenue partnerships
o Develops and manages new syndication deals for video and article content.
Desired Skills & Experience:
· Candidate should demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, strong interpersonal and analytical skills, the ability to multi-task and shift gears quickly.
· Minimum 3 years in Digital Media Focused Company
· Hands-on experience with Google Analytics and/or similar tools essential
· Hands-on experience with SocialFlow, Hootsuite and Google Anlaytics highly preferred
