Role Purpose
The Associate Producer is an integral member of the Shoot Production Team who helps oversee the logistical, budgetary, and physical production needs of EPKs (Electronic Press Kits), BTS (Behind The Scenes) and other small scale promo & marketing shoots for NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment networks (Bravo, E!, Oxygen, SYFY, USA, and Universal Kids). This position assists in liaising between in-house creative teams, commercial production companies, and show productions regularly during the promo & marketing production process. In addition to managing smaller scale projects this role will provide day to day production support for other producers on the team. This position reports to the East Coast Executive Producer.

Responsibilities
• Work with networks to determine production needs in support of creative requests on a project by project basis
• Hire and manage production companies, production services, and/or directors
• Review, negotiate and approve bids from commercial & service production companies
• Work with legal counsel on contracts and agreements on a project by project basis
• Liaise between in-house creative teams, production companies, show productions, press and talent teams, to facilitate project coordination and execution
• Manage production process from start to finish, inclusive of running pre-production, tech scouts, and shoots
• Support producers with paperwork and coordination of larger scale promo & marketing shoots
• Oversee & manage processes with project based freelance & talent from onset to completion

Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years experience working in an on-set, physical production role within a commercial, film, advertising agency or TV series environment.
• Familiarity with AICP & standard commercial production lined out budgets
• Demonstrated knowledge of on set production rules and requirements
• Familiarity with IATSE, SAG-AFTRA, and DGA rules and requirements
• Prior experience working with celebrity and non-celebrity talent and talent agents/managers/handlers
• Knowledge of technical aspects of video production, including current cameras and gear, specifications, and post production workflows
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and production budgeting templates
• College Degree preferred

• Willingness to travel extensively, and work overtime and/or on weekends as necessary with short notice
