Media Director Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Help shape our clients’ digital media landscape by leading their strategy development and media objectives
- Collaboratively create and present innovative, effective media recommendations
- Bring together creativity and integration across the digital channel-including, but not limited to, social, mobile, video, local, programmatic and traditional media
- Provide solutions to clients by utilizing company’s resources and understanding the interplay with media and creative
- Maintain ultimate accountability for client satisfaction. Recommend the best solutions for our clients.
- Be an integral part of the management team shaping process and best practices
- Contribute to agency revenue growth through existing account opportunities, as well as new business. Upsell and cross-sell company’s wide array of services and offerings
- Negotiate best prices for media space and data targeting to optimize budget and return on investment. Maintain and strengthen relationships/ partnerships with ad tech companies
- Oversee both digital and traditional buys
- Oversight of planning activities including evaluation of 3rd party research, data providers, ad serving and analytics
- Monitor campaign revenue and budget maintenance across publishers to ensure optimal delivery, pacing and client results
- Oversee client reporting, analysis and communication of results and insights to clients
- Oversee ad campaigns trafficking via our programmatic trading desk, DoubleClick ad serving and various social platforms
- Evangelize the agency through speaking engagements, creation of case studies and thought leadership
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of digital media planning and account management within an agency environment
- Keen understanding of the evolving digital landscape and how digital fits into the overall marketing mix
- Exceptional strategic leadership abilities and analytical skills
- Supervisory experience, training and working with junior team members
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate in delivering results that exceed client expectations
- Works well in a team environment and must be comfortable in a client-facing role
- Experience with Ad Serving and Bid Management technology
- Ability to use syndicated research to guide strategic thinking
- Ability to form and build C-Level relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as presentation skills
- MS Office proficiency, particularly Excel and Power Point
- Pharmaceutical experience a plus
