Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.

Promotions & Social Media Producer will work closely with the 3TV/CBS 5 Brand Manager on the day-to-day management of the promotions department and the long term planning for the station's marketing efforts. The Promotions & Social Media Producer will service News by developing social media tune-in promotions and station image campaigns in conjunction with the Brand Manager. In addition, this position will mentor staff on their creative skill set and social media content creation.

Collaborate with News to create social media promotion designed to drive station tune-in and platform growth


Work with Brand Manager on developing and executing multi-platform image campaigns for each station


Mentor staff


Fill in for Brand Manager or other staff members when needed


lII. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.


4 year degree in television production, marketing, or advertising highly preferred.


3 to 5 years experience in broadcast marketing/promotions environment

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Extensive knowledge of non-linear edit systems and digital design software (AVID Media Composer, Adobe Creative Suite). Ability to produce and direct talent in studio and field productions. Skilled writer with a background in daily News topical promotion and developing scripting for brand campaigns. Familiar with on-air spot placement software (EX: WideOrbit), and knowledge of creating marketing platforms for social / digital media. Willingness to work in a fast paced environment, changing priorities and deliver production/promotion projects on-time and on budget.
