Editorial Spring Internship 2019
Newsday is looking for journalism students for the Spring Internship program. Newsday internships are designed for students interested in a career in journalism.
Our interns produce content for the newspaper and for our digital products.. One of the unique aspects of this program is its hands-on experience. Interns get practical training, work closely with editors and are expected to perform as professionals. We seek candidates who are interested in news and feature reporting. Interns work in our main office in Melville on Long Island. A car is required for reporter interns.
•Preferred majors: Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, Communications, English.
•To be eligible for this internship, you must be able to receive college credit.
•This internship is unpaid. and generally may be requested to work flexible hours due to business needs.
Please note that you must submit a cover letter, samples of your published work, at least two references and a letter from a school official stating the amount of credit you will earn through the internship and if an evaluation is required.
