SUMMARY

We are looking for talented people to join ourteam who are incredibly passionate about data, who have a proven track recordof transforming raw data into analytic insight, and who desire to make adifference by leveraging the right techniques to arrive at the rightanswers.  The Senior Manager of AdvancedAnalytics will strongly influence the business decisions of Cox Communicationsby helping to institutionalize a data-driven culture.

The Senior Manager's primary role will be todeliver insight to key leadership and marketing stakeholders by developingviable solutions through data analysis, machine learning, and other advancedanalytics techniques.  The candidateshould be highly skilled in both developing models, as well as in discoveringand communicating key insights and findings to internal stakeholders.  This is a highly visible role with keyleaders and will work closely with teams across the company including other Analyticsteam members, Marketing, Product, and Business Operations.  This is a great opportunity to be part of anadvanced analytics team that does leading-edge work as part of a greatorganization.

RESPONSIBILITITES

  • Leadthe development, management and optimization of advanced analytical solutionsin various technical environments.

  • Providerecommendations on all aspects of targeting, segmentation, lifetime valuemodeling, marketing optimization.

  • Leadanalysts responsible for analytical solutions to enable better decisions byleadership. Define data requirements and project requests, help solve problems,interpret data, and offer thought leadership and recommendations aroundspecific business use cases.

  • Identifyactionable insights, suggest recommendations, and influence the direction ofthe business by effectively communicating results to marketing and crossfunctional groups. 

  • Identifyways to streamline and automate tasks to enable faster and more efficientdecision making.

  • Collaboratewith other team members to implement projects, complete tasks, and fulfillplans to ensure timely and efficient analysis, evaluation and reporting.

  • Preparewritten analysis and present findings and recommendations to key marketingleaders.  Communicate insights fromanalysis to multiple teams throughout organization.

  • Collaboratewith Product Marketing, Pricing, Sales, and other Analytics teams to developand execute analytic outputs.

Qualifications

Minimum

  • 7+years of relevant experience with a proven track record in advanced analytics,reporting and in working with high performance teams; Or 5+ years of experiencerequired if candidate possesses a related advanced degree.

  • Extensiveknowledge of statistics, data mining, and in drawing conclusions fromdata.  Proven analytic skills to be ableto draw key conclusions from customer behavior metrics. 

  • Experienceworking with large data sets using SAS/SQL. Outstanding proficiency in SAS/SQL coding.

  • Extensiveexperience in statistical modeling, data mining and predictive modeling usingSAS or open source tools such as R, Python. Ability to utilize the right tool for the task. 

  • Apassion for problem solving, strong business acumen, and a comfort withambiguity.

  • Abilityto thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Self-starter,independently initiating and driving projects toward completion.  Ability to both drive change, while alsocollaborating effectively with a variety of individuals and departments.

  • Excellentcommunication skills, both written and verbal.                    

Preferred

  • Experiencein developing Marketing Analytics for subscription based or retail businesses.

  • Someexposure to Amazon Web Services and cloud computing.

  • Experiencein revenue management and marketing optimization.
