Advertising Salesperson Wanted

Publisher of two established trade publications experiencing steady growth seeks energetic sales executive to join sales team to cultivate existing accounts and develop new advertisers selling print and digital advertising.
Ideal candidate will be required to be a team player that can work in tandem with the editorial team, creating advertising opportunities for new and existing accounts across multiple print and digital platforms. In addition, we are looking for an individual with a proven track record as a strong phone-closer who enjoys a making a fair share of cold-calling and account maintenance communications. Entering the role with prior contacts and experience in the meetings, live events and sports industries is a distinct benefit.
The role will require regular travel throughout the US. Spanish language skills would be advantageous but are not required. as well as advanced skills in new business development coupled with in account management
Key Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong sales acumen
- Highly driven and self-motivated
- Superior client management and interpersonal skills needed, with ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management
- Strong planning and organizational skills, to enable working on multiple projects simultaneously while attending to details and deadlines
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office platforms (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Educated to degree level or above
